Hybrid Creative Agency Inc. is a branding, web design, and digital marketing agency in Lethbridge, Alberta. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (hybridcreative.ca), why we collect it, and how you can control it.
Our practices are governed by Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies when data crosses provincial or national borders.

3. What We Collect and Why
Information you give us directly:
• Contact forms: your name, email, phone number, and message. We use this to respond to your inquiry.
• Newsletter signup: your email address. We use this to send you periodic updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• Client engagements: contact details, billing information, and project materials. We use this to deliver our services.
Information collected automatically:
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects pages visited, session duration, traffic source, general location (country, region, city), and device and browser type. GA4 does not log or store your IP address.
What we do not collect: We do not collect credit card information through our website. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
4. Consent
When you submit a form or subscribe to our newsletter, you are giving express consent for us to use your information for that stated purpose. For website analytics, we rely on implied consent for non-sensitive, aggregated usage data. You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time (see Section 5).
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide certain services.
5. Cookies
Our site uses the following cookies set by Google Analytics 4:
_ga and _ga_[container-id]: Distinguish visitors and maintain session state. Expire after 2 years.
_gid: Short-term visitor distinction. Expires after 24 hours.
_gat: Rate-limiting. Expires after 1 minute.

6. Third-Party Services and Cross-Border Transfers
We use a small number of third-party tools to run our website and deliver services, including Google Analytics (website analytics), our web hosting provider, and our email marketing platform. Some of these providers process data on servers in the United States.
As required by Alberta’s PIPA, we disclose that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. When your data is in another country, it may be accessible to that country’s courts, law enforcement, and security authorities under its laws.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:

• Request corrections if your information is inaccurate
• Withdraw consent for any purpose at any time
• File a complaint with us or with a regulatory authority

9. Security and Retention
We protect your information with encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), password-protected systems, and limited staff access. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data.
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We review this policy at least once per year. When we make changes, we update the date at the top of the page. If we make a significant change, we will post a notice on our website.
