- Self-motivated with excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to troubleshoot and address technical concerns, requests, and changes from our design team and clients
- Ability to self-manage, set priorities, and work without constant supervision as well as meet or exceed deadlines
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada as an employee
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
// Expertise //
- 2+ years of relevant design and development experience - No fancy degrees required but welcomed
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP and other web design coding languages
- Confident in all stages of development, testing, staging and deployment - Strong experience and proficiency within WordPress, WordPress coding Standards, approaches and common APIs
- Experience in e-Commerce gateways (i.e. WooCommerce) as well as payment and shipping modules for integration
- Ability to modify WordPress plugins and themes
- Optimizing web pages for security, maximum speed and scalability
- Ability to develop, deploy and troubleshoot functional pages from wireframes and prototypes (i.e. PSD to WordPress)
- Experience in responsive design projects and development best in practices for mobile optimization
- Work closely with a design team as well as provide technical guidance to team and clients
- Server management experience with tools and processes such as cPanel, PHPMyAdmin, etc
- Familiar with best practices for on-page SEO

- Excellent knowledge of UI/UX web standards and best practices
- Aptitude in good design practices and related software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Designing and developing high performance and well-structured databases as well as connect to and integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Implement, configure and maintain Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console
- Strong knowledge of one or more languages such as jQuery, SASS, React, SCSS, HTML5, SQL, C++, and Bootstrap framework
